Dhruv and I were just chilling there when the first person came. The first person who came up for the selections was Tanmay, Dhruv jokingly asked 

"Do you even know how to play basketball"

 Where Tanmay said "Of course, Dude, let's play a one on one" 

which Dhruv agreed to instantly and obviously Dhruv won and they came back,

"You were a good competition" Dhruv said taking his place

 "But competition is high" he continued 

"But you are in the team, right ?" Tanmay replied 

"You don't even know the players, here sitting next to me is the best player of our batch" Dhruv said pointing towards me

 "And Shaurya was the best scorer" I said

 "I was just the upcoming player" Dhruv continued 

"We have both of you and even Aditi, they just have Shaurya" Tanmay said as Chinmay and Abhinav came

 "He is right Sanya, our victory is decided" Abhinav said

 "Yeah we have the better players" Chinmay added. 

"And it's not like Shaurya would have always won" Tanmay said 

"No, he lost twice but only to Sanya and this time boys and girls are in different playing categories" Dhruv replied

 "Dude, if he could lose to a girl he would definitely lose to you, he is all words, no game, he even lost the arm wrestling match to Sanya" Tanmay said laughing 

"First of all, when will you realize you using those stereotypes for girls is really your biggest mistake" I said banging the table

 "And secondly, you can't make him lose so don't go on with that attitude" I said giving him a death glare 

"Yeah, Sanya is right, he is even better than me" Dhruv said 

"He is definitely not" I said staring at Dhruv when Aditi and Nishi and Divya came

 "Then why are we stressed out we are winning guys" Aditi came and gave me a hug. 

We were happy when Deeksha and Aashi came

 "Did you forget it is 100% participation and even we are in medical stream?" Deeksha said 

"Can someone forget you even after wanting to?" I said faking a smile 

"Try to be nice to people Sanya" Aashi said

 "It's not my duty to please people, and I am just responsible for what I say not what you heard" I said placing my hands on my waist and chinning up

 "Calm down Sanya, we can't create chaos here" Aditi said to me 

while Nishi said to Deeksha "Mock matches start from tomorrow, come on time if you wish to play"

 and as they both went away I literally stood from my chair, pushed it to the floor and walked away.

Sambhav, Kabir and I were having auditions for the match and the first person to come was that, Kunal. I was like even Sambhav can win from this guy but when Sambhav had a one-on-one match, Kunal actually won. 

"We are having a good team for the boys Shaurya but what about the Girls team, the playing five in our school were you, Dhruv, Sanya, Aditi and Mohit and 3 of them are in medical, we only have you since Mohit took commerce." Sambhav said tensed and as if on note Urvi and Shruti came along with Riddha and Aachal.

 "Sanya is definitely a tough nut to crack" Urvi said, 

"But we can still have a good defence and stop her from scoring, at least we know who the main target should be" Riddha replied 

"We're not targeting anyone here, and even Aditi is a good player" Shruti said taking a chair.

 "Won't it be fun having good competition" we all looked up to see Karan saying this and Rohan coming beside him.

 "Haven't you got your lesson by getting suspended once" I said leaning back in the chair and looking him in the eye 

"Calm down Shaurya, he is not doing anything, if you have forgotten there has to be 100% participation in this match" Rohan spoke up, now he has the guts to speak wow.

 I stood up towering over them and said "it is good if you are here for the match, but if I find you causing any trouble to anyone, I will myself make sure to make your life a living hell" 

"Shaurya, leave them, we don't know how they will use this" Sambhav said calming me down 

while Kabir said to both of them "mock matches start from tommorow come if you wish to". 

I went back to my chair and sat putting one leg over the other as I watch them walk away.

Next day the first mock match was of boys, Dhruv wanted to watch the other players play so he can work on their weaknesses while practicing, so he wasn't playing and I guess due to a similar reason even Shaurya was not playing. Aditi and I were sitting on the pavilion and when Tanmay had the ball we both cheered for him to make the basket, just then Shaurya said

 "Don't come to my game cheering for others" while still looking at his notebook

 "Who are you to tell us what to do?" I replied looking at him by bending down since Aditi was sitting in my vision

 "I was talking to my girlfriend" he said coming to us and placing his hand on Aditi's shoulder,

 "Unfortunately your girlfriend is not in your team, she is my best friend and she is in my team, so she'll cheer for our team members" I said laying back

 "Guys, stop" Aditi said

 "Actually, I need to tell everyone something, but couldn't find the right time, but I can't hold it anymore" she continued as we straightened 

"What is it Aditi?" I asked as I thought I was right about the changed behaviour

 "Yeah, tell us what it is Aditi? " Shaurya asked tensed, 

"You both know how Shaurya and I , and Dhruv and Sanya were on a break on our relationships since 10th, So recently when I moved in here, Dhruv and I started to develop feelings for each other" Aditi said avoiding eye contact

 "What?" Shaurya stood up almost yelling. 

On hearing his voice Dhruv came from his seat to us and asked "What happened?"

 "She told us something you were trying to hide" I stood up and told to Dhruv with a straight face, but then laughed and everyone was shocked 

"Dhruv, you are my male best friend before being my boyfriend and I am really happy that my girl bestie and my guy bestie are going to date each other" I told Dhruv holding his shoulders

 "But now I won't be able to give murder threats to the one who will be annoying to my bestie" I said giving Aditi a side hug 

"Yeah like you can't give threats to me " Dhruv said finally laughing and 

finally Shaurya spoke hugging Dhruv "I am really happy for you both"

 "But my girl bestie is not easy to handle with her possessiveness " Shaurya said looking at Aditi as she punched him in the shoulder laughing 

"Yeah you need to take care, that  your new girlfriend does not have a problem with us" I said laughing and hugging Dhruv

Aditi executed the plan even when I told her not to because definitely this was the worst idea I agreed to do and it was proved since Sanya and Shaurya didn't give the expected response, as Sanya hugged me, I gave Aditi stare with lip syncing we need to talk. I could see the smile disappear from her face for a sec before Sanya released me and turned towards her, and hugged her, and she had a small smile.

 "Tell me, if he ever troubles you" Sanya says 

I join my hands and bow down my head to her saying 

"As if someone can dare to trouble your best friend"

And all of us laughed. But I had to talk to Aditi about what she did.

What!!!! Aditi and Dhruv are dating?  How is that possible ? Wasn't Aditi too much possessive with Shaurya to do this? Wasn't Dhruv too understanding with Sanya to do this? Was this the plan they were talking about? If so, Why is Dhruv not happy with it now? And what is it that Dhruv needs to talk to Aditi about?
