It was 11:58 p.m. when we reached outside our house and as Dhruv opened the door all lights went down, he looked at me, and I pretended I didn't have any clue, and then looked at my watch and 3....2.....1..... 

Happy Birthday Dhruv!!!!! Everyone shouted as the lights came back, 

Sanya came and hugged Dhruv (Or should say jumping over this 6 feet tall guy, yeah, he is 2 inches taller than me, but only one inch taller than Sanya) and wished him Happy Birthday

, then I hugged my best friend and wished him and then as everyone was wishing him, I saw car drove in the driveaway, I was shocked to see who came out of that car.

 It was Kunal and Divya. I was so furious at Sanya, she can't leave a chance for me to be happy and not ruin my mood, but I kept my calm to not ruin Dhruv's birthday, as Kunal and Divya wished Dhruv and Kunal handed something over to Sanya and she went in the kitchen to get everyone snacks, I followed her 

"Why are Kunal and Divya here? Wasn't it supposed to be just for our friends?" I said angrily, but keeping sure I am not loud enough for anyone else to hear me 

"What to do, Kunal invited themselves" she said placing the package Kunal gave her

"And then I remembered we forgot about the cake when Dhruv called you, so I thought why not ask him to bring one" she continued as she served snacks on the tray 

"I could have brought that" I said almost slamming the slab 

"Dhruv was with you Shaurya , be a little realistic, no big deal they came here" she said taking the snacks out 

"You know what,why not also call that Tanmay and even Aachal and my other friends Riddha and Chinmay" I said and left.

Shaurya never understands the situation, and then tells me I am the one who jumps to conclusions without knowing the complete truth, but right now I didn't want any chaos, so I went to the living room with the snacks and by that time Tanmay, Aachal, Riddha and Chinmay arrived. 

And then I thought Shaurya always taunts me of just wasting Dhruv's time when I don't want to be his girlfriend so I thought why not just casually call Dhruv my boyfriend, like it will make his birthday even better and Shaurya will get to know neither I want to ruin Dhruv's birthday, nor can he decide what and how I do things. 

So, when Tanmay said "Arranging such a great mid-night party would have been a task" 

I replied "It was my boyfriend's birthday, it had to be a great deal" and gave Dhruv a side hug.

Sanya after almost 3 years called me her boyfriend, like we never broke up, and of course we decided we will be on a break until we get what we want out of our lives, and she was starting to get her first stipend, but it was so unexpected, right at this moment. I gave Aditi a look, telling to cancel what we decided.

Sanya out of nowhere, just referred to Dhruv as her boyfriend, wasn't she taking sides of Tanmay just a day before and getting help of Kunal in our matters. I was really pissed, I didn't want my best friend to be with someone as unstable and as quirky as Sanya, but didn't want to sound cranky and ruin the party so I just distracted the crowd by announcing about the sports event.

Shaurya announced that Dean ma'am wanted us to organise a sports event and before anyone could say anything Dhruv said 

"I was thinking of planning a basketball event" like he could read my mind and before I could appreciate the idea Aditi jumped out of excitement and said 

"Yeah, we are definitely doing that, it feels like forever since we all played basketball" 

(Sorry if I forgot to tell you all that Dhruv and Aditi were one of the best players of our team).

 Then Kunal asked "Is it only for the sophomore year students?"

 "Yeah, even us would love to be a part" Chinmay added

 "Even us, if you don't mind?" Tanmay said looking at Shaurya 

"No one would mind that Tanmay, Dean ma'am would be really happy if everyone joined" I said looking at Shaurya with a grin 

"Yeah definitely, but I think we need to make boys and girls have separate matches, I definitely think Dean ma'am won't approve common matches" he said and sneered 

"That will kill all the fun man" I said smirking and leaning on Dhruv

 "Don't worry we will have fun during practices" Dhruv said giving me a high five. 

Next morning, we all got ready to go to church and then a brunch out before going to college.

I was getting ready to leave for the Church when Aditi knocked at my door 

"what are you thinking about the plan?" 

"I don't think we should execute it any time soon" 

"Fine, if you don't want so" she said and left angrily

I wore a navy-blue shirt with khaki pants to go to the church.

Then I went to Dhruv's room and he was wearing a pink shirt and brown jeans.

I gave him a back hug, 

"Happy birthday bro, how are you going to pick players for the team?" I asked him 

"Sanya will be helping me I guess" he said and then we had some chit chat and we both came out of his room laughing when we saw everyone was ready and waiting for us and Aditi was wearing a navy blue dress

and Sanya was wearing a baby pink dress

and just as I noticed that Nishi said 

"Oh, wow Sanya you and Dhruv are twinning, even without deciding"

 "You know great minds think alike" Sanya said giving Dhruv a side hug and then Kabir said

 "Even Aditi and Shaurya are twinning without planning" as he said that I looked at Aditi for some reaction but she just smiled and bowed

 "Yeah that's why they were two cute couples in high school" Urvi said as we all drove to the church. 

We all lighted a candle and prayed.

 I wished "Everything just stays smooth and we all just get away with the next 2.5 years with peace"

We all went to the church and I wished everyone to be happy and blessed with a good health.

But you know, no matter how many candles you light in a church, you can never find the calmness and assurance of a temple (not disrepecting any religion, That's just my own opinion)

 When we were coming out Sambhav asked 

"So, it's the birthday of our party animal, what's the plan with the club?"

 "Everything is planned Sambhav, for the night right now we need to reach college" I replied and we went to college. 

After classes we received a message from Aditi to be dressed in glimmer. 

So, I wore a short sweetheart neck golden dress.

And I came out and saw Dhruv wearing a gold blazer on a black shirt

and Aditi was wearing a short silver v neck dress

and Shaurya was wearing a white shirt with silver blazer.

And Shruti immediately said "Is something different today? Sanya you and Dhruv twinned in the morning as well and now also you are twinning?" "Because today is special, it is Dhruv's Birthday" I replied "And what about you and Shaurya, Aditi?" Abhinav asked "It is a mere coincidence" Aditi replied likely seriously?? It's not like I want her to go overboard with her possessiveness for Shaurya but why has she suddenly start giving him a cold shoulder, I looked at Shaurya and even he looked confused. But I let it go as I thought it would her typically having mood swings. We went to the club and partied hard and had a lot of fun.

We went to the club, and Sanya dragged Dhruv to the dance floor, they were both dancing, swaying to the beat, enjoying themselves, and everyone soon joined them, while Aditi and i went to get tables for all of us, but i could sense, Aditi's eyes wandering back to Dhruv & Sanya, although with a smile but I don't know, something felt different, but I was not gonna pay and heed to that, Dhruv was enjoying his day and even Sanya was looking free and exuberant, so i was not going to spoil all that, and even Aditi was looking happy only with the way she was talking to everyone, just a bit weird towards me, but maybe I deserve that, so I let it slide. We all had a lot of fun, had good food and went back home.

Next morning Dh​​​​​​​ruv and I went to college even though it was an off day as we need to hold selections for the basketball team.

What does this match hold for us? What is this happening that got all of us consumed? How are we going to all play together while avoiding drama?
