In the previous chapter, you read how Shaurya met a car accident after his tiff with Sanya in attempt to save Dhruv. What we have to see know is how will Sanya, Aditi, Kabir and everyone else going to react on this? How will they handle this with all the drama already going on? Let's see together.

Shaurya came in front of a car to save me. Although it was just a hit, the car driver applied breaks before rolling those over him, I was really furious at the driver but this was no time to fight with him I took Shaurya in my arms to the hospital. I went in and laid him on the stretcher and the nurses took him to the operation theatre when I tried to gather my things to get ready for the surgery, because most doctors there were busy at this time , so us only had to handle this, so I asked one of the seniors or practically anyone for my help.

I was talking to Dr. Sapna, the head PhD doctor of the hospital and my mentor after Dr. Prashant ( who is my assigned coach), when we got a news to have an emergency surgery in a case of car accident. I was going to call Dr. Prashant when Sapna Ma'am told me I should be there with the patient and start the proceedings while she'll call Dr. Prashant and call him as soon as possible. 

I quickly did the sanitization and ran to the operation theatre to find Dhruv standing there next to stretcher with Shaurya on it.

 I froze there, my jaw dropped, I was on my verge of crying when Dhruv saw me and told me I was needed, as he was not a part of the hospital (he was an intern in another hospital) he can't start the proceedings and I had to do that because he was having major blood loss.

 My hands were shaking when Dhruv was sent out, because outsiders can't stay. I was blank, all the lessons I learnt flied away, I couldn't see Shaurya lying there in that condition but was not confident enough to do anything. One mistake and I'll lose him forever, I can't afford that. I was shivering in the operation theatre. I have been a part of many surgeries by now, and I was pretty confident in all of them, but this time I didn't had my nerves.

I was called by a nurse to help Dhruv in a emergency case, but when I reached there Sanya was there standstill, of course we interns can't perform the surgery, but Sanya was the best intern here, and was always confident when going in an operation theatre. I was about to enter the operation theatre when Dr. Sapna signed me to stay outside as she went in the operation theatre. I tried to calm Dhruv who was blaming himself for this condition of Shaurya. I briskly called Sambhav and Kabir to inform them about this while I could see Dr. Sapna and Sanya having a stressful conversation.

We just came back home from college when Sambhav got a call from Nishi that Shaurya met a car accident. We both panicked for a moment then Sambhav took out the car while I called Aditi, Abhinav, Shruti and Urvi to inform them about this. I don't know why I did so, but at that moment I thought I should do this. When I told Aditi this on call, she had an emotional outburst and started crying. I asked her to calm down and she told Abhinav to book the tickets of the next flight and reach here as soon as possible.

I was having a nerve-racking scene in front of my eyes, when Dr. Sapna entered and told me it was very difficult for Dr. Prashant to make it in time, and she will not be able to do the surgery as she is not a medical doctor but a PhD doctor, and even other doctors have a hectic schedule with surgeries needed to be taken care of, so a recently appointed doctor, namely Dr. Ashish have to do the surgery and since I was the best intern here she said I was the only person she could think of for assisting and she will be there in the operation theatre to guide me. I was breathless , I was not even ready to start the proceedings of the surgery, let alone assist the whole surgery myself.

 "I...... I can't do this, he is in such a critical condition, he needs professional assistance" I said holding back my tears.

 "You can do this Sanya, you even know his medical history, I know you can, and we can't wait for Dr. Prashant or literally anyone to perform this Sanya, look at him, he is sinking, even a minor delay can make us lose him"

 Dr. Sapna said placing a comforting palm on my shoulder, and I fell in her embrace and started shaking 

" I can't ma'am, I can't afford to lose him with a mistake of mine" I said breathing heavily

 "Sanya" she yelled at me, as she put me back to my feet 

"You want him to be saved, right?" she stared at me and said ,

 I nodded 

"Then take a hold on yourself, and assist the surgery with Dr. Ashish, because you are one of my best interns and I trust you with him. You, Sanya, you have to assist Dr. Ashish to operate on him, Dr. Ashish is new here, he needs assistance or we will lose him" she said holding my shoulders, and as she said , I took deep breaths ,I got a hold on myself.

I took the scalpel in my hand, firmed my shivering hand, and handed it to Dr. Ashish, then gave an anaesthesia injection to Shaurya . Shaurya was sinking, when I held his hand and said

 "I know Shaurya, you never listen to me, you don't like the way I handle things, but just for this one-time Shaurya, be with me. Shaurya , you can't leave Aditi, Dhruv, me like that." I was about lose control of myself again when Shaurya heart beat started gaining. Dr. Ashish was performing the surgery with me assisting him under Dr. Sapna's guidance when, a nurse came with his CT scan reports. Dr. Sapna took it in her hands and started reading it. 

"Sanya, we have a complication" she said looking at the reports. 

"His vocal cords are in danger." She looked at me

 "But he is a singer" I said in distress 

"You can do this Sanya" Dr. Sapna said placing her hand at my shoulder.

 I looked at Shaurya and Dr. Ashish said 

"I will not let anything happen to him or his voice",

 and then with god's grace and Dr. Sapna's and Dr. Ashish's guidance I successfully completed my first surgery without Dr. Prashant. 

While Dr. Sapna disclosed this news to our friends, I went to my best friend " Krishna ji" to thank him for saving Shaurya. When I came back, to the hospital room Shaurya was shifted to another room and all of our friends were there including Aditi. She got up from her seat and brought me to a side and said

 "Thank you Sanya, you saved my boyfriend, I literally owe you my life". 

After hearing this I felt like clenching my fists, but I held back and said, it was my job, when Dhruv came and told us Shaurya was conscious now. We were going back to the room when Aditi disclosed that they were planning to get in our college in the Sophomore year, like our Freshman year was already a huge drama without them, so with them being here, it will definitely go to another level, but right now our priority was Shaurya's health.

 When we reached Shaurya's room, Dhruv sat beside him and said 

"I am so sorry for all this Shaurya, I am responsible for your condition, you were trying to save me and look what you have done to yourself"

 "I am fine Dhruv, and will soon be better, and definitely it was not your fault" Shaurya said shifting his eyes from Dhruv to me.

What will Shaurya say to Sanya? How will Aditi's entry affect their lives? What will they do to get over with this?
